Getting around in Joomla is easy for me, but i realize that not everyone lives and breathes content management systems. I build websites for clients all the time and while I do offer maintenance packages, many of my clients decide to do much of the day to day work themselves. One recent client was excited to jump into her Joomla admin panel and start adding and editing her content. Of course, once inside the back-end, she pretty much got lost and overwhelmed. All she wanted to do was make text wrap around an image and if you don't know where to look, it might not be obvious.

Above you can see what an image look looks like when the alignment isn't set. Text starts at the image's baseline and does not wrap. Click on the image (to highlight it which brings up the image handles -- the little boxes along the top, sides, and bottom. Once the image is active, click on the little tree in the toolbar (that's where you see the INSERT/EDIT IMAGE help text appearing in the image above.

Clicking on that icon (little tree) will bring up a dialog box. Click on APPEARANCE which changes the dialog box content to show ALIGNMENT. Click on the pull down and choose the alignment you want. If you want the image to appear on the right with the text wrapping on the left, choose RIGHT.

Once you have adjusted the alignment (in this case ALIGN RIGHT) your text will appear on the left and your image on the right.
